Recombinant Human YWHAB /14-3-3 Beta Protein, N-GST Tag (rh YWHAB / KCIP-1, GST Tag) Met 1 - Asn 246 (Accession # NP_647539) was produced in E.coli cells at ACROBiosystems.
rh YWHAB / KCIP-1, GST Tag is fused with a GST tag at the N-terminus, and has a calculated MW of 55 kDa. The predicted N-terminus is Met 1. DTT-reduced Protein migrates as 53 kDa in SDS-PAGE .
Less than 1.0 EU per μg of the rh YWHAB / KCIP-1, GST Tag by the LAL method.

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 50 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4. Normally Mannitol or Trehalose are added as protectants before lyophilization.

Tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein, beta polypeptide (YWHAB) is also known as 14-3-3 protein beta, GW128, HS1. YWHAB belongs to the 14-3-3 family. YWHAB binds to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. YWHAB is negative regulator of osteogenesis. YWHAB blocks the nuclear translocation of the phosphorylated form (by AKT1) of SRPK2 and antagonizes its stimulatory effect on cyclin D1 expression resulting in blockage of neuronal apoptosis elicited by SRPK2.
