This product is still under development. Please contact us if you have interest in this product. We will accelerate the development process accordingly and reserve this product for you as request.
  • Synonym
    ADAM-TS 5, ADAM-TS5, ADAMTS-5, ADAM-TS 11, ADAMTS-11, ADMP-2, ADAMTS11, ADMP2, Aggrecanase-2
  • Source
    Human ADAMTS5 (AD5-H52H6) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Ser 262 - Pro 622 (Accession # Q9UNA0-1).
    Predicted N-terminus: Ser 262
  • Molecular Characterization
    ADAMTS5(Ser 262 - Pro 622) Q9UNA0-1

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 41.6 kDa.

  • Endotoxin
Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
  • Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 20 mM MES, 150 mM NaCl, 5mM CaCl2, pH6.5. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Contact us for customized product form or formulation.

  • Reconstitution

Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions.

For best performance, we strongly recommend you to follow the reconstitution protocol provided in the CoA.

  • Storage

For long term storage, the product should be stored at lyophilized state at -20°C or lower.

    Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

No activity loss is observed after storage at:

    1. 4-8°C for 12 months in lyophilized state;

    2. -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.

  • Background
Members of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) family are known to influence development, angiogenesis, coagulation and progression of arthritis. ADAMTS levels and activities are regulated at multiple levels through the control of gene expression, mRNA splicing, protein processing and inhibition by TIMP (tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases). A recent screen of human cartilage has shown that multiple members of the ADAMTS family may be important in connective tissue homeostasis and pathology. ADAMTS5 (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 5), also known as aggrecanase-2 and ADAMTS11, is a member of the family of secreted zinc proteases with a multi-domain structure.
