  • Background
    The newly identified Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has posed a serious threat to human health. A rapid and effective assay kit detecting the levels of SARS-CoV-2 protein in human.
  • Application
    This kit is developed for detecting the SARS-CoV-2 S Protein in cell supernatant or SARS-CoV-2 virus in vitro.
  • Reconstitution
    Please see Certificate of Analysis for details of reconstitution instruction and specific concentration.
  • Storage

    Upon receipt, please store the lyophilized products at -20℃. After reconstitution, the stock solution should be kept at -70℃. Upon receipt, please store the plate at Room Temperature, and please store the buffer at -20℃.

    It is recommended not to freeze thaw more than 3 times.

    This product is stable under storage conditions: 12 months in sealed state;
    Used within 3 months after opening.
  • Assay Principles
    This assay kit employs a standard sandwich-ELISA format, providing a rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 S Protein. The kit consists of Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S protein Antibody, an SARS-CoV-2 S Protein as Control, an biotin-Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S protein Antibody and HRP-Streptavidin.

    Your experiment will include 6 simple steps:

    a) Coat the plate with Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S protein Antibody.

    b) After washing and blocking, add your sample to the plate, take the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein as Control sample. The samples and Control sample are diluted by Lysis Buffer.

    c) Add a diluted Secondary antibody biotin-Anti-SARS-CoV-2 S protein Antibody to the plate. The Secondary antody is diluted by Dilution Buffer.

    d) Add a diluted Streptavidin-HRP to the plate.

    e) Wash the plate and add TMB or other colorimetric HRP substrate.

    f) Stop the substrate reaction by add diluted acid. Absorbance (OD) is calculate as the absorbance at 450 nm minus the absorbance at 650 nm to remove background prior to statistical analysis. The OD Value reflects the amount of antibody bound.

Detection SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein by ELISA Assay.
Immobilized Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Antibody at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein. And then add Biotinylated Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Antibody at 1ug/ml. Detection was performed using HRP-conjugated streptavidin with sensitivity of 24 pg/mL (QC tested).
