This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 52.7 kDa. The protein migrates as 57-64 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE).
Pre-activation is required for enzymatic assays. Please dilute Human MMP-1, His Tag to 100 µg/mL in TCNB buffer (50 mM Tris, 10 mM CaCl2, 150 mM NaCl, 0.05% Brij-35 (w/v), pH7.5), and then add p-aminophenylmercuric acetate (APMA, Sigma, Catalog # A-9563) to a final concentration of 1 mM. Please keep the enzyme with APMA for 1 hour at 37°C. *100mM APMA stock solution should be prepared in DMSO. Please avoid adding high concentration APMA solution (>20 mM) directly into the reaction as it tends to precipitate. A pre-dilution step is highly recommended.
>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 20 mM MES, 150 mM NaCl, 10 mM CaCl2, pH6.0 with 0.05% Brij-35. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
