Background
It's been reported that SARS-CoV-2 can infect the human respiratory epithelial cells through interaction with the human ACE2 receptor. The spike protein is a large type I transmembrane protein containing two subunits, S1 and S2. S1 mainly contains a receptor binding domain (RBD), which is responsible for recognizing the cell surface receptor. S2 contains basic elements needed for the membrane fusion. The S protein plays key parts in the induction of neutralizing-antibody and T-cell responses, as well as protective immunity.

We ordered this peptide to use with klickmers from Immudex to look at immune response to COVID in cancer patients. We were very satisfied with the specific staining we achieved and the excellent customer service received. The product was straightforward to reconstitute and arrived very quickly (UK). The QR code with the vial allows quick access to the CoA and useful information about the product.

This product was purchased to conduct plasma screens for anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies and perform antibody monoclonal antibody binding/capture studies on BLI. This product came out in a timely manner following its designation as a VOC and was delivered quickly. The protein produced high quality and consistent results in both MSD and BLI experiments and is remarkably stable at 4C where it was stored for approximately 3 weeks without any appreciable change in experimental result.

We bought an array or anti bodies and associated proteins to do testing for pull down and binding efficiency in a couple different assays. Then compared with our technology for binding comparisons. The proteins and anti bodies were relatively high in concentration and worked well for the experiments where the results were consistent and reproducible (which was the entire hope for the experiment from the start.) Working with ACRO is very easy and we will be ordering from them more in the future
