    We purchased this protein and validated its binding to its natural ligand, MIS. We saw great binding between the hMISRII-hFc and MIS ligand, which was exactly what we expected. Additionally, this protein passed our QC requirements for purity on SDS-PAGE and SEC. This was purchased along with several other MISRII products from other companies and this was the only material that bound MIS with expected affinity. As such, we plan to use this protein for our downstream applications.

    In general, lyophilized proteins remain stable during room-temperature shipping or temporary exposure to room-temperature conditions.


    Many ACROBiosystems recombinant proteins are supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form. The lyophilization process effectively removes moisture from the product, helping reduce degradation-related reactions and improve protein stability during transportation and storage.


    To evaluate the stability of lyophilized proteins under normal temperature conditions, ACROBiosystems conducted a stability study on 11 representative lyophilized protein products at 37°C. The study demonstrated that these proteins maintained good quality stability after storage at 37°C for approximately 20 days. Based on these validation results, temporary room-temperature exposure during shipping or handling is generally not expected to have a significant impact on product quality or downstream application performance.


    To ensure optimal long-term stability, products should be stored according to the storage conditions specified in the product Certificate of Analysis (COA) upon receipt.

Background

MIS RII (Mullerian inhibiting substance type II receptor), also known as AMHRII (anti-Mullerian hormone type II receptor), is a serine/threonine receptor with a single transmembrane domain that belongs to the family of type II receptors of the TGF-beta superfamily. Mutations in MIS RII result in persistent Mullerian duct syndrome (PMDS), persistent Müllerian duct syndrome (PMDS) is a sex-limited disorder in which males develop portions of the female reproductive tract. Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and its receptor (AMHR2) induce the regression of the Müllerian ducts in male embryos, but the mechanism by which the Amhr2 gene is specifically activated is not fully understood.
