Her2 Background
Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2 (HER2) is also called ERBB2, HER-2,HER-2 /neu, NEU, NGL,TKR1 and c-erb B2,and is a protein giving higher aggressiveness in breast cancers. It is a member of the ErbB protein family, more commonly known as the epidermal growth factor receptor family. HER2 is a cell membrane surface-bound receptor tyrosine kinase and is normally involved in the signal transduction pathways leading to cell growth and differentiation. HER2 is thought to be an orphan receptor, with none of the EGF family of ligands able to activate it. Approximately 30% of breast cancers have an amplification of the HER2 gene or overexpression of its protein product. Overexpression of this receptor in breast cancer is associated with increased disease recurrence and worse prognosis. HER2 appears to play roles in development, cancer, communication at the neuromuscular junction and regulation of cell growth and differentiation .

G***z2025-03-12 2People LikeWe bought the Her2 to perform SPR to determine the binding affinity of in house produced herceptin. Using the His tag it was easy to capture the protein with amine coupled anti His antibody on the sensor chip surface. Therefore we could prove our antibody has full binding functionality very easily using the biacore T200 system. Ordering and shipping was really simple and all the necessary documentation can be found online. Although I didn't find the CoA in the first place everything was described easily and protocols of different analyses were available.- M***t2025-01-15 2People LikeI used the biotinylated HER2 antigen from ACRO Biosystems for several applications, including phage panning, BLI, and phage ELISA, and it performed very well across all assays. The high purity and specific biotinylation allowed for reliable streptavidin binding, ensuring reproducible results. I have had very good luck with all Acro products during my career in science.
