Human Lipopolysaccharide-binding Protein ,His Tag, Ala 26 - Val 481 (Accession # P18428), was produced in human 293 cells (HEK293) at ACROBiosystems.
Human LBP / Lipopolysaccharide Protein ,His Tag is fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, and has a calculated MW of 52.8 kDa. The predicted N-terminus is Ala 26. DTT-reduced Protein migrates as 62 kDa in SDS-PAGE due to glycosylation.
Less than 1.0 EU per μg of the Human LBP / Lipopolysaccharide Protein ,His Tag by the LAL method.

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Normally Mannitol or Trehalose are added as protectants before lyophilization.

Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP),a member of the BPI/LBP/Plunc superfamily, BPI/LBP family, is detected in blood serum. LBP plays a role in the innate immune response. Alao,LBP can bind to the lipid A moiety of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a glycolipid present in the outer membrane of all Gram-negative bacteria, and act as an affinity enhancer for CD14, facilitating its association with LPS. Furthermore, LBP is able to promote the release of cytokines in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide.
